Making handmade soap is an art. You mix your oils, butters and fats together with a very specific recipe and make soap. Once you have mixed your recipe together you usually have 30 mins while your batter is fluid to make lovely beautiful designs. But occasionally you mix too vigorously and instead of having 30 mins you get 3! This is what happened to this soap. And because I mistakenly was too zealous when mixing it turned into soap right before my eyes. I hardly had enough time to put it in the mold before it became hard. This is the same recipe I've been using for a decade and makes wonderful moisturizing soap but I did not have the time for a pretty design. And in fact it set up so fast there were pockets of air in the batter which left the soap with uneven lines. Rather than throw away perfectly good soap that smells amazing and will feel even better on your skin I'm offering it at a discount.
Scent: A true rose fragrance, just as you'd expect if you smelled a fresh bouquet of roses.
Additives: Dried Rose Petals
Are you using soap or detergent?
Most commercial soap found in the drug store is not really soap, but a combination of skin-drying alcohol, detergents and salts made from synthetic and petroleum-based chemicals and preservatives that are cheap to produce. Many of the same ingredients found in shower gels can be found in industrial cleansers such as engine degreasers. Genuine soap is made with natural ingredients that can be found in your kitchen pantry, and processed in ways that have virtually no negative impact on your skin or the environment. Unlike detergents, true soap is naturally moisturizing, non-drying and essential for good skin care.
